Home My Public Portal Aboutr 10-107 ~ezolutiott of t~e ~oroufl~ of C!Iarterd, ~~ W~ 10-107 Date of Adoption April 22. 2010 No. AWARDING BID FOR THE TURNPIKE SANITARY SEWER CROSSING PROJECT WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Turnpike Sanitary Sewer Crossing Project; and WHEREAS, the Borough has .solicited and received five (5) bid proposals for the Turnpike Sanita Sewer Crossing Project as follows: \VHEREAS, Cruz Contractors, has submitted the lowest responsible bid for said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and the recommendation of the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M Associates; and WHEREAS, T &M has reviewed the above bid proposals and, as noted, has recommended the award of a contract to Cruz Contractors, in a total amount not to exceed $2,237,515.00 and \VllEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NO\V THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: 1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Cruz Contractors, Holmdel, N.J. for the Turnpike Sanitary Sewer Crossing for the sum of $2,237,515.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same. 2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and Borough Engineer. 3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
