R.ESOLUTION NO. 74-77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING THE SOUTHEASTERN
REGIONAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY TO KEEP THE
JOINT POWERS SECRETARIAT ACTIVE AND INVOLVED IN THE
AGENCY'S ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood as an active participant of the Joint
Powers Agreement which established the Southeastern Regional Community
Action Agency acknowledges that said agency will require substantial technical
advisory and staff liaison assistance from its inception and throughout its
existence on an on-going basis and,
WFiEREAS, the Joint Powers Secretariat has provided vital staff services
to the five participating jurisdictions in bringing the concept of a regional
community action agency in the Compton Health District to fruition; and
WHEREAS, the C ity of Lynwood supports and endorses perpetuation
of the Secretariat as an active advisory resource to the Provisional and R,egular
SER.CAA Boards of Directors.
NOW, THEREFOF~.E BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD advocates the continuation of the Joint Powers
Secretariat to provide staff services to the Southeastern R.egional Community
Action Agency and urges the SERCAA Board of Directors to approve said
request.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 20th Day of August, 1974.
