A RESOLUTION OF THE C'TTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~,YNWOOD
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY NECESSARY
FOR THE WIDENING AND IARPROVEMENT UF LONG BEACH BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, th~ City Coun~il of the City of Lynwood has determined
that the widening and improv~mer?t of Long Beach Boulevard from the northerly
to the southerly boundaries of the City is necessary for the convenience,
welfare, and safety ofthe puLlicy and
WHER~AS, it has been determined that the best interest of the City
shall be served by th~ acquisition of propex~ty necessary for said widening, and
WHFRFAS, the City has appropriated certain funds for thie acquisition
and developr,:~tnts and
,-VHEREAS, the City Council has received an Environmental Impact
Statement on the L,ong Beach Boulevard Project and have determined and no
significant environmental impact will occur in the completion of this project.
NOW, THEREFOHE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWSe
Section 1. The following described property is necessary for the
widening of Long Beach Boulevardo
Lots 319, 320 and the northerly 10 feet of Lot 318 of Tract 2551,
in the City of Lynwood, in the County of Los A ngeles, State of
California, as per map r~corded in Book 24, pages 78 to 80 of
Maps, in the office of th~ Count,y Recorder of said County.
Section 2. That the purch~se price for the above described property
has been negotiated with Mr, ancl Mrs. Hardy H. McKay in the amount of $95, 000.
Section 3. That the Ci'ty Council authorize and direct City Staff to
take whate~ver steps necessary to ace~pt thfs property in accordance with the terms
and conditions as set forth above.
