RESOLUTION NO. 74-111
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
TO ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING
WEEDS THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF
LAND IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
WHEREASy the City Couneil of the City of Lynwood, California,
did on the 3rd day of December 1974A adopt Resolution No. 74-102 relating
to the abatement of dry and drying w~eds on certain parcels of land in the
City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weeds by posting
"Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices, as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of protests
and objections to said matter, a hearing was duly held and written or oral
objections were made to the doing of said work, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has considered
all the faets and is fully informed in the matter, and they have acquired
jurisdietion to proceed and perform the work or removal of said nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent
of Streets of the City of Lynwood be and he is hereby instructed to abate
the nuisance d~scribed in said Resolution No. 74-102 by having said nuisances
referred to removed, and he and his assistants are hereby expressly
authorized to enter upon private property for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall
have th~ right to have any such nuisanee removed and abated at his own
expense, provided such work is done prior to the time the work is done
by the Superintender~t of Streets, If the work is done by the property owner,
no ehar-g~ shall be made by the City of Lynwood.
