AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND
ARCHAEOLOGY
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application in order
to put a simulated slate roof on the depot, complete flashing and counterflashing work, and reinstall the removed terra cotta pieces.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology in order
to put a simulated slate roof on the depot, complete flashing and counterflashing work, and reinstall the removed terra cotta pieces.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for a simulated slate roof on the depot, to complete flashing and counterflashing work, and to reinstall the
removed terra cotta pieces.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of October, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
