RESOLUTION NO. 74-109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
NOTIFYING THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY'S INTENT TO APPLY FOR HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS AND REQUESTING
FUNDING ADVANCE FOR APPLICATION COSTS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood intends to apply for block grant funds
under Title I, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is presently conducting studies and carrying
out the planning necessary to submit an application for said block grant funds; and
WHEREAS,"~he' ~it~ of.:~,ynwood recognizes reimbursement of funds for
planning and preparation of the application is dependent on the availability of
funds to implement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood recognizes costs for the planning and
preparation of the application shall not exceed ten :(10) percent of the entitlement
cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Lynwood hereby
informs the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development of its
intention to apply for block grant funds under Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974 and 'tncur costs for the planning and preparation of said
grant application,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lynwood hereby requests
an advancement oft'en (10) percent of its first year entitlement from the U. S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development through Los Angeles County as
program administrator.
