RESOLUTION NO. 14-8753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO APPROVE ALL
GRANTS AND FUNDS CONSTITUTING GIFTS, AND
PROHIBIT ANY SOLICITATION BY CITY EMPLOYEES
REQUESTING FUNDS FOR CITY EVENTS OR AFFAIRS;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka("City") has determined that
it is in the best interest of the City for the City Commission to approve all Grants and Funds
gifted to the City, prior to submission of any grant applications, as set forth in Resolution 11-
8294; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to prohibit any
solicitation by City Employees (except the City Manager and the City Commission) requesting
funds for City events or affairs, as set forth in Resolution 11-8205.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, shall approve all grants
and funds constituting gifts to the City, and shall prohibit any solicitation by City employees
(except the City Commission and the City Manager, or his designee) requesting funds for City
events or affairs.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
