HomeMy Public PortalAbout1994-077Member John Ferris introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 94-77 RESOLUTION GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO GOODIN COMPANY FOR AN OFFICE/WAREHOUSE/ SHOWROOM FACILITY WHEREAS the Goodin Company (the "Applicant") has requested to use the facility at 4352 Willow Drive as an office/warehouse/ showroom for its plumbing supply business; and WHEREAS, the city's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit in such instances; and WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the planning commission at its meeting on November 9, 1994 and by the city council at its meeting on November 15, 1994; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the proposed use will not impede the normal and orderly development of adjacent lands for purposes for which they are zoned. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following conditions: 1. Outside storage on the site shall be limited as indicated on the site plan to an area no greater than 1,920 sq. ft.; 2. All signs must meet city code requirements; 3. All trash containers must be located indoors; 4. Landscaping must be installed along the north fence of the storage area. The landscaping shall be composed of spruce trees, a minimum of 6 feet in height and 12 feet on center; 5. It is noted that existing parking is adequate under city code requirements; RHB80326 ME230-216 6. It is noted that existing hardcover meets city code requirements; 7. Hours of operation may be 24 hours a day, 7 days per week; 8. There shall be no more than 10 employees on site; 9. Site drainage shall be accomplished as indicated on the site plan; 10. There shall be no outside loud speakers or telephone bells; 11. Plans for interior remodeling must be approved by the fire department; 12. The city acknowledges the existing radio tower, which must be kept in good repair; and 13. The Applicant agrees to pay the city an administrative fee in an amount determined by the city staff to represent the actual cost to the city of reviewing this application.
