HomeMy Public PortalAbout14-8757 Grant Award from the National Endowment of the Arts Sponsored by: City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 14-8757 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE GRANT AWARD FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT OF THE ARTS, AS ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE DESIGN AND PLANNING OF OPA-LOCKA'S ICONIC CITY HALL BUILDING, IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000); PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, a National Endowment for the Arts grant was awarded to the City of Opa- locka("City"), in the amount of$30,000; and WHEREAS, the grant will be used to support design and planning for Opa-locka iconic City Hall Building; and WHEREAS the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to accept the National Endowment for the Arts grant for Opa-locka iconic City Hall Building. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Session 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby authorizes the City Manager to accept the grant award from the National Endowment of the Arts as additional support for the design and planning for Opa-locka's iconic City Hall Building, in the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000).
