A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE EXPENDITURE OF AN ADDITIONA-L $75,000 FOR THE CITY HALL HEATING,
VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIOfVIfdG (HVAC) SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS, On May 4, 2010, the City Council authorized staff to solicit proposals
for the design of the City Hall Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) System
Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, staff advertised the project with Integrated Marketing System and
Lynwood Press, for the preparation of plans, specifications and related contract
documents for the design of the City Hall HVAC system; and
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2010 the City awarded the contract to Glumac
Engineers forthe Design of the City Hall HVAC system in the amount of $51,250; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting additional funds to cover for the design and other
administration costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, A9VD RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the expenditure of $75,000, in addition to the amounts
authorized by the City Council on June 15, 2010, is hereby approved to cover for the
design and other administration costs for the Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning
(HVAC) System Replacement Project.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20t" day of July, 2010.
