RESOLUTION NO. 14-8760
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH
STUDENT INTERNS FOR THE STUDENT INTERNSHIP
PROGRAM ("SIP") FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
STUDENT INTERNS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND CREDIT WITH THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka ("City") desires to sponsor a
Student Internship Program ("SIP") for the City; and
WHEREAS,the SIP program provides an opportunity for students to gain educational
experience and credit with the City of Opa-locka, by participating in a valuable educational
and/or career related experience; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes the City Manager
to enter into agreements with Student Interns to provide the services associated with the
internship program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Session 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby authorizes the City
Manager to enter into agreements with student interns for the Student Internship Program
("SIP"), for the purpose of providing student interns with the opportunity to gain educational
experience and credit with the City of Opa-locka, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.

Session 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
