Minutes of Meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Town Hall, Room 211, Main St., Hopkinton, MA
In attendance:
Ron Eldridge Mary Lou Haroian Joe Karner
Joe Lavin
Heidi Kriger Chairman Karner called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
Ron moved and Mary Lou seconded a motion to open the public hearing portion of the meeting.
The motion passed unanimously. Chairman Karner made a presentation of the fiscal year 2010 budget for the Town of Hopkinton.
Following the presentation there were several questions and comments from the audience.
Representatives from the Assessors office informed the Committee of their intention to file a
complaint with the Board of Selectmen and the Town Manager concerning the change in accounting for and supervision of their administrative staff. Resolution of this issue will not impact the dollar amount of the budget, just the allocation of budgeted dollars to departments.
Ron moved and Joe L seconded a motion to close the public hearing portion of the meeting at
7:15 pm. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion ensued about proposed changes/additions to the presentation for Town Meeting and
for display on the town website.
Ron moved and Joe L seconded a motion to adjourn at 7:50 pm. The motion passed unanimously.
