RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT OF TANGIBLE PERSONAL
PROPERTY
WHEREAS: From time to time, this community pauses together, to offer comfort and
support to our friends, neighbors, loved ones and family members, who witnessed
profound loss; and,
WHEREAS: James Monroe Ellis and the Family of Eliza Ruth Aidoo wish to donate a little
free library in loving memory of Eliza to be placed at Filippello Park; and,
WHEREAS: Eliza passed away tragically due to complications of a serious illness on
October 6, 2021, she was 17 -months -old; and,
WHEREAS: The memorial library will be installed at Filippello Park on Arlington Street
and will be maintained by Eliza's Grandparents for the community to enjoy.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Watertown City Council, hereby
accepts, pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44, Section 53A1/2, this gift of
tangible personal property.
