AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED WAY OF WHITEWATER VALLEY
WHEREAS, the United Way of Whitewater Valley has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond, through its Widowed Persons Service desires to submit a grant application to assist with outreach activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the United Way of Whitewater Valley in order assist with outreach activities for its
Widowed Persons Service.
2. The Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Department of Parks and Recreation, shall be appropriated to assist with outreach activities for Widowed Persons Services.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of October,1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
