3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. CONTINUED REVIEW OF THE LIVE OAK PARK MASTER PLAN
The Commission continued their review of the Live Oak Park Master Plan.
The Commission considered two final options, identified as Option 7 and
Option 8. After discussion, the Commission recommended Option 7 to the
City Council. The Commission requested the consultant, Community Works
Design Group, explore the feasibility of diagonal parking on Gracewood
Street. The City Council will consider adoption of both the Live Oak Park
Master Plan and the Temple City Park Master Plan at an upcoming study
session in July.
4. NEW BUSINESS
A. RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING THE CITY'S DIAL-A-RIDE PROGRAM
The Commission considered and approved staff's recommendations to
increase service hours on the weekends and to add the Minute-Clinic in the
CVS Store, located at 1401 S. Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia, as an approved
location.
B. REQUEST FROM TEMPLE CITY AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER
ORGANIZATION (AYSO) FOR RESERVED USE OF THE ATHLETIC
FIELDS AT LIVE OAK PARK FOR YOUTH SOCCER CAMPS JULY 13-17,
2015 AND AUGUST 10-14,2015
The Commission approved the request for reserved use of a portion of the
athletic fields at Live Oak Park from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. July 13-16, 2015;
from 8:30a.m. to 12 noon on July 17, 2015; and from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m.
August 10-14, 2015 for a youth soccer camp.
5. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
A. The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's
Report for June 2015.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file this report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-16 City Budget.
