Coyne, Management Analyst SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY {COMMISSION ACTIONS MEETING OF JULY 8, 2015 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Transportation and Public Safety Commission (Commission) actions from their meeting of July 8, 2015. BACKGROUND: On July 8, 2015, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting. ANALYSIS: Following is a summary of actions taken at the July 8, 2015 meeting: 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioner - Blatt, Vice -Chairman Clift, Nimri, Stratis, Chairman Redmond Absent: Commissioner - None Excused: Commissioner - None 2. REORGANIZATION OF COMMISSION The Commission proceeded with the annual reorganization of the Commission by appointing Commissioner Clift as Chairman and Commissioner Nimri as Vice - Chairman for a one-year term. City Council July 21, 2015 Page 2 of 2 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Commission approved the minutes of their June 24, 2015 meeting. 3. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS The Commission held fifteen hearings in person; eight citations were upheld and seven citations were dismissed. The Commission held four hearings requested by written declaration; two citations were upheld and one citation was dismissed. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to receive and file this report. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2015-16 City Budget.
