BACKGROUND: On July 15 , 2015 , the Parks and Recreation Comm ission held the ir regularly scheduled meeti ng . ANALYSIS : Fo llowing is a summary of actions taken at the June 17 , 2015 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting: 1. ROLL CALL : Present: Commissioner-Baro ldi , Georgina, Haddad , Wen Ab sent: Commissioner -None Excused : Commissioner-Rosso 2 . REORGANIZATION OF COMMISSI ON The Parks and Re creation Commission reorganized electing Commissioner Rosso as Chairman and Comm issioner Georgina as Vice -Ch airman for Fiscal Year (FY ) 2015-16 . City Council August 4 , 2015 Page 2 of 2 3 . CONSENT CALENDAR The Parks and Recreation Commission tabled approval of the minutes of the June 17 , 2015 meeting and received and filed the monthly report for June 2015 . 4 . NEW BUSINESS A. REQUEST FROM TEMPLE CITY AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE (TCALL) FOR RESERVED USE OF THE BASEBALL DIAMOND AT LIVE OAK PARK FOR FALL BASEBALL SEASON GAMES AND PRACTICES AUGUST 15 THROUGH NOVEMBER 21 , 2015 Due to the impact the requested use may have on Temple City American Youth Soccer Organ ization 's (AYSO ) previously approved appl icat ion , staff recommended denial. The Commission approved the request subject to the following conditions : ( 1) The outfield fences on the baseball field are to be removed pr ior to the start of Temple C ity AYSO 's season ; (2) Use of the baseball diamond is to be coordinated by City staff to avoid conflict with Temple City AYSO ; and (3 ) If there any issues or concerns with the use , staff will return to the Commiss ion for reconsiderat ion . B . PRESENTATION OF YOUTH RECREATION PROGRAMS Pa r ks and Re c reat io n Coordinator Anton io Villalobos gave a brief overview of his background and provided the Commiss ion with a summary of the youth re c reation programs ava i lable . 5. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS A. The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for July 2015 . CONCLUSION: The C ity Council is requested to receive and file this report . FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 -16 City Budget.
