HomeMy Public PortalAboutRES 75/09RESOLUTION NO.75-' A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO ARTICLE IX, SECTION 5, OF THE TOWN CHARTER, FINDING AND DETERMINING IT NECESSARY AND EXPEDIENT FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN TO REQUIRE THE OWNERS OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES TO REMOVE THEREFROM ALL BRUSH, WEEDS, PALMETTOS, DEAD OR DYING TREES, STUMPS, ROOTS, AND OTHER OBNOXIOUS GROWTH. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Town Council finds and determines that the properties described in Section 2 of this Resolution contain brush, weeds, palmettos, dead or dying trees, stumps, roots, and other obnoxious growth, the removal of which is necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the Town of Gulf Stream. SECTION 2. The parcels of land covered by this Resolution and the estimated cost of clearing such land and removing the above-described conditions are as per attached Schedule A. SECTION 3. Pursuant to Article LX., Section 5, of the Town Charter of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, this Resolution serves as notice to the owners or agents of the owners of land described in Section 2 hereof, and if the owners or their agents fail to remove from their land those items described herein within thirty (30) days from the date of this Resolution, the Town Council shall cause the same to be removed and to pay therefor, and to charge, assess and collect the JOHNSTON SASSER S RANDOLPH 1115 HARVEY BUILDING ZEST PALM BEACH, FLA. 33402 expense thereof as a lien against the land or as a claim against the owner or owners of same.
