CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-13
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 284 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 284 , an
ordinance rezoning certain land within the city from Rural Residential to Agricultural
Preservation; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance contains a lengthy legal description of the affected property;
and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, § 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and
summary in the case of lengthy ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the city council has reviewed the following summary and is of the opinion
that it would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance, while saving the
city the expense of publication of the full ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that
the city clerk -treasurer shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 284 to be
published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance:
Public Notice
The City Council of the City of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 284 . The
ordinance rezones a 140-acre portion of the city from Rural Residential to Agricultural
Preservation. The tract which has been rezoned is generally located east of Homestead Trail,
west of the Medina Morningside subdivision and immediately north of the Medina/Orono line.
The property is commonly referred to as the "Vo-Tech Property."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that the city
clerk -treasurer keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public inspection and
that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Philip
Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, James Johnson, Zietlow and Mayor Anne Theis.
and the following voted against same: None.
and the following were absent: Ann Thies.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
