A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING
THE CITIES OF DELRAY BEACII AND BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AS THE JOINT "LEAD AGENCY" FOR 11201
FACILITIES PLANNING" FOR SEWAGE CONSTRUCTION
GRANTS UNDER PUBLIC LAW 92-500 FOR THE PALM
BEACH COUNTY SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL AREA, AND
FURTHER DESIGNATING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TOWN
OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTE WATER TREAT-
MENT AND DISPOSAL BOARD OF PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AS THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE JOINT
CITIES AS THE "LEAD AGENCY".
WHEREAS, the federal government has established
requirements for the preparation of a 11201 Facilities Plan" as a
pre -requisite to local government receipt of federal funds for the
construction of sewage facilities; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the public health, welfare, safety
and interest to maintain planning for future waste water collection}
treatment, and disposal and to remain eligible to receive federal
and/or state funds for the abatement of pollution from sewage and
sewage works; and
WIIEREAS, the cities of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach,
Florida, have indicated a willingness to and are best suited to
assume the "lead agency" role for 11201 Facilities Planning;" and,
WIIEREAS, the cities of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach,
Florida, have designated the South Central Regional Waste Water
Treatment and Disposal Board of Palm Beach County, Florida, as the
representative of said cities as the "lead agency" for 11201
Facilities Planning",
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Town Council designates the cities
of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida, as the joint "lead
agency" for 11201 Facilities Planning" for sewage construction
grants under Public law 92-500 for the Palm Beach County South
Central Regional Area.
Section 2. That the Town of Gulf Stream pledges

Section 3. That the Town of Gulf Stream ratifies and
supports the acceptance of the lead agency's designation of the
South Central Regional Waste Rater Treatment and Disposal Board
as the representative of the joint cities as the "lead agency".
