A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING MODIFICATION OF THE 1970 FREEWAY AGREEMENT
Tp PROVIDE ONE-WAY FRONTAGE ROADS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FREEWAY
BETWEEN ATLANTIC AVENUE AND WRIGHT ROAD
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1970, the City of Lynwood and the State of

California entered into a freeway agreement for the Route 105 Freeway

between the city limit at Mona Boulevard and the. city limit near Route 7; and
WHEREAS, plans £or, freeway provide viaduct structures for a portion
of the Route 105 / 7 Freeway Interchange between Wright Road and Long Beach
Freeway, creating an Airspace Lease Area which returns land to productive
use.in City; and
WHEREAS, City and State have studied and coordinated planning
toward development of a Lynwood Industrial. Park within Airspace Lease Area;
and
WHEREAS, there has recently been identified means to improve traffic
service to said area by modifying previously approved plans and creating
one-way frontage road between Wright Road and Atlantic Avenue; and
WHEREAS, increased accessibility will enhance the marketability
of the Area which creates the potential~to produce more revenue for City
and State; and
WHEREAS, modification of plan will• allow traffic including trucks,
between freeway and Atlantic Avenue to travel easier and more directly to
Airspace. Lease Area, tk~ereby minimizing the possibility that said traffic ,
would travel to Area via residential streets of Cortland and Lavinia Avenues;
and
WHEREAS, said modification of plan has been developed through
.coordinated City and State planning which occurred after execution of ori-
ginal freeway agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, TI-IAT City requests said
modifications be made as shown on attached Exhibit "A" with the under'-
standing that prior to freeway construction, a. superseding freeway agreement
