Board of Assessors
Minutes of Meeting of May 14, 2009
A regular meeting of the Board of Assessors was held May 14, 2009 in the first floor conference
room at Town Hall. A Notice of Meeting was duly posted. The meeting commenced at 5:30
p.m. Present were John Palmer, Edward Mills, and John Duffy, all the members of the Board.
Also present was Robert Bushway, Principal Assessor. Mr. Palmer presided and John Duffy
kept the minutes.
The Board approved the minutes of the meeting of April 21, 2009.
The Board reviewed, approved, and signed a bills payable warrant in the amount of $6,234.05.
The Board reviewed, approved, and signed the April 2009 report of abatements and exemptions,
itemized as follows:
Real estate tax abatements: $14,274.00
Statutory exemptions: 1,226.68
CPA abatements: 352.46
Motor vehicle tax abatements: 5,061.55
Total: $20,914.69
The Board reviewed, approved, and signed the second Supplemental Billing Report for 2009 in
the amounts of $5,765.81 Real Estate Tax, and $115.32 CPA Surtax.
There was a general discussion regarding FY2010 Real Estate Tax matters.
The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2009.
The meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
