AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED WAY OF WHITEWATER VALLEY
WHEREAS, the United Way of Whitewater Valley has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond, through its
RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) program desires to submit a grant application in order to fund the recruitment and recognition of senior volunteers.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the United Way of Whitewater Valley in order to fund the recruitment
and recognition of senior volunteers for its Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
2. The Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Department of Parks and Recreation, shall be appropriated in order to fund the recruitment and recognition of senior volunteers for RSVP.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of October 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
