HomeMy Public PortalAbout72-092 (09-05-72) RESOLUTION NO. 72-g2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF 'I'IiE CITY OF LYNWOOD A.MENDING.RESOLaUTION NO, 72-78 SETTING FORTH SALARIES FOR FIRE DEPART].VIENT EMPLOYEES BY CLASSIFICATION AND OTHER BENEFITS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AS FOLLOWSo Section to That Resolution 72-78 of the City ,of Lynwood adopted the 18th day of July, 1972 outlines the salaries and wages. of the. officers and employees of said City' as required by Section 37206 of tine Government Code of the State of Csliforniae Section 20 That the salaries ~.nd wages fo~° employees of the various classi- r fications falling within the Fire Department sciaedule included herein are as followse Fire Ernployeeso Range 1~'-Fif°eman $407-4$8 bi'-weekly Range 2F-Enginee~° $463-556 bi-weekly Range 3F-Captain $515-617 bi-weekly " Such salary range ?.sham become Effective during the second pay period in July, _-"'"~`"~` ""' ~ 19T2a T~:e ab°ove~riofed"salary-increases have been-conditioned^-upon.-the" - "--°- ultimate passage• of the Revenue Sharing Proposal (HR-14370) being considered by Congress during the current Legislative Sessiono Should the Revenue Suring Proposal be defeated or modified. in such:a way that the City is unable .to utilize the funds received for Fire. Department salaries, the above noted sala~°y incre~.ses skaall be deleted and a minimum 3% salary incr~~.se shall be granted for each cYassificat~on noted aboveo Section 3. Overtimes Overtime as defined, in the present Lynwood .salary resolution shall be extended to include the position of Fire Captaino ' Section 4o Longev~tye A longevity prog~°am is he~°eby estab-.ished for ~~'ire personnel, excluding managemcnt.er~~ployees as followso 1°ijo of the base .. salary at the end. of twelve years of service and an additional 1% of base salary at the end of seventeen years. of serviceo The above noted longevity program is conditioned upon the ultimate passage of Revenue Sharing Proposal being considered by Congress during the current Legislative Sessono Should the Revenue Sharing Proposal be defeated. or modified in such a way that the City is unable to utilize the funds received for Fire Department salaries, such longevity increases shall be deleted; Section 5. Nothing herein contained shall be construed. in any way as affecting Personnel Ordinance No. 671 of the City of.
