RESOLUTION NO. 72-102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CI':L'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYl\iWOOD CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETI~RMINE WHETHT'R PUBLIC NECESSITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, OR ~_ WELFARE REC~UZRES THE FORI~2ATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT ##2. The City Council of the City of Lyntivood does hereby -- resolve as follows: -" . _ Lynwood City Ordinance hTO. 848 establishes a procedure for the creation of Underground Utility Districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure, the holding of a public hearing to a ascertain whether public necessity, health, .safety, or welfare requires the removal of polls, overhead wires, and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service in n any such district; and -`~"~~ ~ ~- It has been recommended that such an Underground Utility District, 'hereinafter called District, be formed on the full road easement o width of Long Beach Boulevar. d from the south property line of Sanborn Avenue to the north property line of Imperial Highway, including to the west :pro:perty line of the alley west of Long Beach Boulevar. d between a Sanborn and Beechwood Avenues and including to the back lot lines of the properties fronting Long Beach Boulevard from Beechwood Avenue to Imperia.I Highway=. .,. - - o - G A I3E IT R,I/SOLVED AS liO.LLOWS: 1. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Cowzcil of the City of Lynwood on November 8, 1972, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. ~ in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, • Lynwood, California, to ascertain. whether the public necessity, health, safety or welfare requires. the removal of poles, overhead wires anal associated overhead structures and the underground i-nstallation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication or similar associated service in the District hereinabove described. 2. At such hearing all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard. Said hear. ing ma.y be continued from time to time as may be determined by the City Council. 3. The City Clerk shall notify all affected property owners as shouTn on the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned of • the time and, place of such hearing by mailing a copy of this resolution ~~ ~-- ~- ~to such property owner's and- utilities concerned at least ten {10) days prior to the date thereof. 4, The area proposed. to be included i.n the District is I shown upon that certain; map entitled "Proposed Underground Utility Distric,t_ #~2'', dated October 18, 1972, which is on -file in the office of the.~City Clerk of the City; of Lynwood. ~~ APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 1972.
