HomeMy Public PortalAbout1995-033Member James Johnson adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved its CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 95-33 GRANTING AMENDED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO SUBURBAN HENNEPIN REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT WHEREAS, on March 15, 1988, the Medina city council adopted Resolution No. 88-10 granting the Suburban Hennepin Regional Park District (the "Applicant") a conditional use permit to construct a club house for the Baker National Golf Course; and WHEREAS, on March 21, 1989, the city council adopted Resolution No. 89-16 granting the Applicant an amended conditional use permit to expand the club house; and WHEREAS, the Applicant has again requested permission to construct an addition to the club house; and WHEREAS, the matter was reviewed by the planning commission on July 11, 1995 and by the city council on August 1, 1995 ; and WHEREAS, the city council has determined that the proposed addition to the club house will not impede the orderly development of adjacent properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that an amended conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. The addition authorized by this amended conditional use permit may not exceed 1,700 sq. ft.; 2. There may be no outside speakers or telephone bells on the club house. Any such existing devices must be removed; 3. Both sides of the driveway to the club house must be posted with "No Parking" and "Fire Lane" signs; RHB92968 ME230-20 4. Any special event held at the Baker National Golf Course at which more than 185 cars are expected must have proper traffic control; a contingency parking plan must be developed by the Applicant and approved by the city; 5 . Exterior lights for the parking area must be turned off by 11: 00 p.m. unless there is a scheduled event which requires that they be on for a longer period of time; 6. Exterior lighting must be down cast and minimal lights at expressed points of the building. All lighting must be at proper lumens. This work must be completed no later than April 1, 1996; and 7. The Applicant must pay to the city a fee in the amount determined by the staff to represent the actual cost to the city of reviewing this amended conditional use permit application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that this resolution constitutes an amendment to and does not supersede or replace the Applicant's existing conditional use permit which is contained in Resolutions 88-10 and 89-16. All the terms and conditions of said Resolutions remain in full force and effect except to the extent they are explicitly modified by this Resolution. Dated: August 15 , 1995. ATTEST: J Anne E.
