CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-37
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF MEDINA ROAD FROM BROCKTON
LANE TO HOLY NAME DRIVE
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the city council on March 7. 1995,
Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik & Associates has prepared plans and specifications for the
improvement of Medina Road between Brockton Lane and Holy Name Drive by placement of
stabilization fabric, drain tile and 12 inches of gravel base and 41/2 inches of bituminous surfacing
24 feet in width and 6-foot gravel shoulder and has presented such plans and specifications to
the city council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The clerk -treasurer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper
and in a trade paper an advertisement for bids for the street surfacing, gravel
shoulders and restoration work for said improvement according to the plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published once at least three weeks
before the last day of submission of bids, shall specify the work to be done, and
shall state that bids will be opened, read aloud and tabulated by the clerk -treasurer
and city engineer in the council chambers at 10 o'clock on September 28, 1995.
Bids will be considered by the city council on October 3, 1995 in the council
chambers at 7:30 p.m. or thereafter. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bids will be given an opportunity to address
the council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the clerk -treasurer and accompanied by a cash deposit or
certified check payable to the clerk -treasurer for five percent of the amount of
such bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Philip Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
John Ferris, Johnson, Ann Thies, Zietlow, and Mayor Anne Theis.
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
