HomeMy Public PortalAbout1995-038Member John Ferris introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION N0. 95-38 RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 1996 AND ESTABLISHING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING WHEREAS, city staff has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of Medina for the 1996 calendar year; and WHEREAS, the Medina City Council has determined that a property tax levy in the amount of $873,434 (minus Homestead and Agricultural Credit Aid) in necessary to meet the needs outlined in the budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council adopt a preliminary tax levy of $873,434 for taxes payable in 1996 and that this amount be certified to the Hennepin County Auditor as required by Minnesota Statutes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Truth in Taxation hearing be held Wednesday, December 6, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. in the Medina City Hall and a reconvened hearing Wednesday, December 13, 1995, if necessary. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 5th day of September, 1995.
