adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION N0. 95-38
RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX
LEVY FOR 1996 AND ESTABLISHING THE DATE, TIME AND
PLACE FOR THE TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING
WHEREAS, city staff has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of
Medina for the 1996 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the Medina City Council has determined that a property tax levy in
the amount of $873,434 (minus Homestead and Agricultural Credit Aid) in necessary to
meet the needs outlined in the budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council adopt a
preliminary tax levy of $873,434 for taxes payable in 1996 and that this amount be
certified to the Hennepin County Auditor as required by Minnesota Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Truth in Taxation hearing be held
Wednesday, December 6, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. in the Medina City Hall and a reconvened
hearing Wednesday, December 13, 1995, if necessary.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Philip Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof:
Ferris, James Johnson, Ann Thies, Zietlow and Mayor Anne Theis.
and the following voted against: None.
and the following were absent: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 5th day of
September, 1995.
