RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, GRANTING THE CITY
MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE AND ISSUE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALSBIDS RELATING TO
INFRASTRUCTURE WITHOUT SEEKING CITY
COMMISSION APPROVAL; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka has determined that it would
be in the best interest of the city to grant the City Manager the authority to advertise and issue
RFPs/bids and other competitive selections relating to the Opa-locka infrastructure without the
prior City Commission approval; and
WHEREAS,in the interest of expediting the operation and the development of the City's
infrastructure,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City Manager
the authority to issue RFPs/bids and other competitive selections without prior approval from the
City Commission.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and grants the
City Manager the authority to advertise and issue RFPs/bids and other competitive selections
relating to the City's infrastructure without seeking prior City Commission approval.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
