7 TIME FOR THOSE IN THE AUDIENCE WHO WISH TO SPEAK:
William Bretz, 8723 Hermosa, San Gabriel, noted that the Rede-
velopment Agency is working hard to improve the northwest
corner of Las Tunas and Rosemead Blvd. He inquired if the
Redevelopment Agency had the funds and means to help other
business owners along Rosemead Blvd. redevelop their property
and to upgrade the whole area along the Boulevard.
Mrs. Swain discussed attending the Revitalization Committee
meetings every Tuesday morning. She also mentioned Mr.
Breazeal, business owners and a Chamber of Commerce representa-
tive attended a conference on Revitalization. The City and the
Chamber are working to find worthwhile programs to help revi-
talize the City. Mrs. Swain then mentioned a very important
meeting at the Chamber on October 17, 1989 when a speaker from
the City of Pasadena would speak on how to acquire matching
funds and other low interest loans for revitalization.
Mr. Gillanders added that the Community Redevelopment Agency
operates in a defined area and has limited authority without
setting up another Redevelopment area.
Mr. Atkins stated it is not a CRA function per se but it is a
City function.
