• ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN
EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES IN LOT 150 OF LANDWEHR HILLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 231, Page 705, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal
Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair structures for the
routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land
described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus property
of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
Part of the 20 foot general utility easement as platted along the northerly side Lot E of
Southgate Subdivision,Section Two,in the City of Jefferson,County of Cole,Missouri,as per
plat of record in Plat Book 11, page 803; Cole County Recorder's Office, more particularly
described as follows:
From the northwesterly corner of said LOT E; thence N84°13'01"E, along the northerly line
of said Lot E, also being the northerly line of said 20 foot General Utility Easement, 123.79
feet; thence S5 046'59"E, 16.90 feet to the point of beginning for this description; thence
S89 025'34"E, 28.03 feet to the southerly line of said 20.00 foot General Utility Easement;
thence S84013'01"W,along the southerly line of said 20 foot General Utility Easement,28.20
feet; thence N0 032'20"E, 3.12 fee to the point of beginning. Containing 44 Square Feet.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City does
hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary
legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in
Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
