ROAD WARRANTY. (b) When contractors perform work for private entities or in subdivisions and it is intended that the City will accept dedication of the road and of any road or right -of- -way, the contractors shall warrant the performance, quality, and workmanship and the quality of all materials on any road project for a period of two years after final acceptance by the City. The City may require letters of credit or bonds in order to secure the obligation under the warranty. Do not begin work until a permit as been issued. Contact the Water /Sewer Department at (912) 786 -4573, extension 122, for tie -in location. Contact the Department of Public Works at (912) 786 -4573, extension 132, for a pre -cut conference, At completion contact the Department of Public Works for acceptance of the street cut. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Pavement removed and replaced shall be done in accordance with the latest specifications of the Georgia Department of Transportation, Traffic shall be maintained and controlled by means of flagmen. The edges of the pavement shall be cut to a neat straight line with a masonry saw, The backlit' shall be compacted to 100% density and an 8 -inch concrete base course of 5,000 psi placed on the fill. The concrete base shall be placed within 24 hours after the utility line is installed. A temporary wearing surface may be used provided it presents a smooth surface.
