HomeMy Public PortalAbout1995-053Member John Ferris introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 95-53 RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple Plain, Medina, and Orono entered into a Joint Powers Agreement under the authority of Minnesota Statute 471.59 in order to create the West Hennepin Recycling Commission for the purpose of establishing and operating a curbside recycling program in each of the member cities; and WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Recycling Commission has recommended that revisions be made to the Joint Powers Agreement to reflect the current activities of the recycling program, the Commission, and its recycling coordinator; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the revised Joint Powers Agreement of the West Hennepin Recycling Commission be approved, and that the Agreement be extended through December 31, 1999. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
