The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session
on March 2,
1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and councilmen Hippen,
Huisman,
Eckhoff & Van Deest present.
On a motion by Eckhoff and seconded by Van Deest the
minutes of
the previous meeting were approved as read. Motion carried.
On a motion by Eckhoff and seconeded by Van Deest
the following
bills were allowed for payment:

On a motion by Huisman and seconded by Van Deest the beer and
liquor licenses of Wallace Deters, dba The Wellsburg Tap, were
approved. Motion carried.
Following a motion by Huisman and seconded by Eckhoff the
meeting was adjourned.
Mayor Clerk
The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on April 6,
1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved
by a motion from Eckhoff and seconded by Van Deest. Motion carried.
The following bills were allowed for payment on a motion by
Huisman and seconded by Claassen.

On a motion by Eckhoff, seconded by Van Deest, the clerk
was instructed to advance the Wellsburg Library Board $1000
for current operating expenses. Motion carried.
A check for $815.46 from the State Comptroller was, on a
motion by Claassen and seconded by Huisman, earmarked for the
Debt' Service account. Motion carried.
On a motion by Huisman, seconded by Claassen, the meeting
was adjourned. Motion carried.

Mayor Clerk
The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on
April 24, 1970 with Mayor Ross and all councilmen in attendance.
A discussion was aired regarding the natural water drainage
on the Gene Blythe property south of McAdoo Street in the town of
Wellsburg. There was general consensus that the natural water—
way could not be blocked. Blythe was to be notified of the
council's decisionl
