AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION OF FORESTRY
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry has
funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the cleanup of the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry in order assist with
the cleanup of the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
2. The Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Department of Parks and Recreation, shall be appropriated to assist with the cleanup of the Whitewater Valley Gorge.
Passed and adopted this 2nd day of November, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
