HomeMy Public PortalAbout1995-059Member Ann Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 95-59 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND WHEREAS, the City of Medina (the "City") is the owner of certain real property located in Medina and legally described as Lots 11 and 12, Block 10, Independence Beach, according to the recorded plat thereof, pursuant to a Conveyance of Forfeited Lands, State Deed No. 173560 (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the Property is not buildable; and WHEREAS, the City has no plans to use the Property for drainage and public use as it is currently restricted; and WHEREAS, Mr. Tom Wellhausen is the owner of adjacent lands (the "Adjacent Owner") and has offered to purchase the Property from the City, to be combined with his existing land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the Property may be sold to the Adjacent Owner at a private sale, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Property is to be combined with the Adjacent Owner's existing land and the resulting parcel will not be allowed to be subdivided in any way in the future; 2. The Property is to be used as open space and not improved or developed; and 3. The Property will be conveyed to the Adjacent Owner subject to an easement for the benefit of the City for drainage and utility purposes around the perimeter of the Property.
