AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AMENDING ORDINANCE
14372 BY CORRECTING THE DESCRIPTION THEREIN.
WHEREAS, On June 16, 2008, the Council passed ordinance 14372 vacating a portion
of Wall Way; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance clearly described the portion of the Wall Way intended to be
vacated; and,
WHEREAS, the Ordinance also contained, although not required, a metes and bounds
description of the area to be vacated, which said metes and bounds
description contained a scrivener's error; and,
WHEREAS, the title company has requested the City to correct the scrivener's error by
ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance 14372 is hereby amended by deleting Section 1, and
substituting in its place the following:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby
declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a alley and
forever vacate the following described Wall Way in said City:
Part of the 20' Alley (East Wall Way)
All that part of a 20 foot wide public alley known as "East Wall
Way" lying southerly of and adjacent to the southerly line of
Inlots 486 and 487 and lying north of and adjacent to the
northerly line of Inlots 530 and 531, in the City of Jefferson,
Cole County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of the aforesaid Inlot
531; thence N47 038'35"W, along the northerly line of said Inlot
531 and along the northerly line of the aforesaid Inlot 530,

208.75 feet to the northwesterly corner of said Inlot 530;
thence N42 007'52"E, on a direct line, 20.00 feet to the
southwesterly corner of the aforesaid Inlot 486; thence
S47 038'35"E, along the southerly line said Inlot 486 and along
the southerly line of the aforesaid Inlot 487, 208.74 feet to the
southeasterly corner of said Inlot 487; thence
S42°06'10"W, 20.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing 4,174.99 sq. ft.
Section 2. All remaining parts of the ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, Ordinance 14372 shall be
amended and such amendment shall take effect as if the ordinance were originally passed
in the corrected version.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
