1. The funding source for Article 47, Drainage Improvements – Spring Street has
been changed from Stimulus to Town Funds. No explanation was given for the
change. The committee voted 4-0 to not support this article.
2. Vehicles for the Police Department will be purchased for $89K. These are budget
items and will be paid for from the 531/2E account (Ambulance Fees). We later
learned that 2009 funds will be used.
3. A utility vehicle for the Fire Department will be purchased for $39K. It is a
budget item and will be paid for from the 531/2E account (Ambulance Fees). We
later learned that 2009 funds will be used.
4. Article 41 is for Drainage Improvements at the cemetery at a cost of $70K. The
funding source is the money generated from the sale of lots. The committee voted
3 -1 to support this article.
5. We learned about a possible article for acceptance of some new streets to be voted
on by the Selectmen. This article needs to be presented to the CIC at our next
meeting if it is approved by the Selectmen to be on the FY2010 town warrant.
