HomeMy Public PortalAbout1996-005Member Ann Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 96-5 RESOLUTION GRANTING PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL FOR THOMAS WELLHAUSEN WHEREAS, Thomas Wellhausen (the "Applicant") is the fee owner of property located in Medina which is legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Walnut Estates; and WHEREAS, the Applicant intends to obtain title to two adjacent tax forfeit parcels legally described as Lots 11 and 12, Block 10, Independence Beach; and WHEREAS, the Applicant has requested that the property be platted in order to combine the three lots into a single parcel; and WHEREAS, the planning commission reviewed the Applicant's preliminary plat on January 9, 1996 and the city council did the same on February 6, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that preliminary approval is hereby granted for the Applicant's plat, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. The drainage and utility easements currently existing along the southerly line of Lot 1, Block 1 Walnut Estates must be vacated by the city council after a public hearing; 2. The final plat must show the drainage and utility easements required by the city engineer; 3. The final plat must be consistent with the preliminary plat, this resolution and the city's subdivision regulations; 4. The Applicant must submit current title evidence for all the property included in the plat for review by the city attorney; and EHB100515 ME230-234 1 iib 5. The Applicant must pay the city for administrative expenses an amount determined by the staff to represent the actual cost to the city for reviewing the plat. Theis, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: John Ferris, Jim Johnson, Thies, Zietlow, and Mayor Anne Theis. and the following voted against same: None.
