HomeMy Public PortalAbout14-8835 Miami Dade County RFA 2014 Funds from the Public Housing Sponsored by: City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 14-8835 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY RFA 2014 FUNDS FROM THE PUBLIC HOUSING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS ($319,412), FOR NW 38TH AVENUE STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City has been approved to receive FY 2014 RFA Recommended Funds, from the Public Housing and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); and WHEAREAS, the funds are to be used for public facilities and capital improvement for the City of Opa-locka; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City Manager to accept the funding from Miami-Dade County FY 2014 RFA CDBG for NW 38`h Avenue Street Drainage Improvements, and to execute the contract between the City of Opa- locka and Miami-Dade County Department of Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, directs and authorizes the City Manager to accept the PHCD-CDBG grant award, in the amount of Three Resolution No. 14-8835 Hundred Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred Twelve Dollars ($319,412), for NW 38th Avenue Street Drainage Improvements. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 30a'DAY OF,July,2014.
