RESOLUTION NO. 96-13
RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS
FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE MATERIALS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for "Road Maintenance
Materials" in order to purchase the following road materials: Class 5 gravel, crushed
limestone, road oil, winter sand, and bituminous mixtures for paving and patching; and
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on Tuesday, April 2,
1996, according to law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Medina,
Minnesota that the lowest bid for each road material item be accepted as summarized
in Exhibit A attached hereto and on file in the office of the City Clerk.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Ann Thies and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favorthereof: John Ferris, Johnson, Thies, Phil Zietlow and Mayor Anne Theis.
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

instructions to bidders and any other necessary documents
pertaining to subject project, do hereby propose to furnish and
where noted, deliver for the following prices. It is agreed that
the prices stated below shall remain in effect until April 1,
1997 or until such later date as may be mutually agreed upon.
The bidder must fill in the unit prices in figures.

THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO GO TO THE NEXT LOWEST BIDDER IF
DELIVERY QUANTITIES ARE NOT SUFFICIENT. THE CITY DOES NOT ALLOW
SINGLE TIRE TRAILERS ON THEIR ROADS. IT MAY BE REQUIRED ON
CERTAIN JOBS THAT MATERIAL WILL NEED TO BE DELIVERED IN END DUMP
TRAILERS.

REMARKS OR QUALIFICATIONS
SPECIFY IF ANY EXTRA CHARGES FOR TIME DELAY.
The undersigned bidder also agrees to enter into a contract with
the Owner within ten (10) days after the Owner's acceptance of
this proposal or any section or sections thereof.
In submitting this bid, it is understood that the right is
reserved by the Owner to reject any and all bids, and it is
understood that this bid may not be withdrawn within a period of
60 (sixty) days after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids.
Successful bidders shall provide City with a copy of workers
compensation and general liability insurance certificate.
