Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 96-32 RESOLUTION APPROVING A PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE HAMEL LIONS CLUB TO CONDUCT LAWFUL CHARITABLE GAMBLING WHEREAS, the Hamel Lions Club ("Applicant") has made application to the City of Medina for a "Premises Permit Renewal" to conduct class A charitable gambling activities under authority and regulation of Minnesota Statute 349.16; and WHEREAS, said premises permit will be for charitable gambling activities to be conducted at the Medina Entertainment Center located at 500 Highway 55 within the city; and WHEREAS, Applicant understands that this license prohibits conducting charitable gambling activities at any other location not stated herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Medina, Minnesota that the Applicant's request for the Premises Permit Renewal be granted, effective December 1, 1996 through November 30, 1998. -u2,2 ) Mayor ATTEST: &WA g Clerk: reasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Ferris and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favorthereot Thies, Ferris, and Mayor Theis. and the following voted against: none and the following were absent: James Johnson, Philip zietlow Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 16th day of July , 19 96 .
