RESOLUTION NO. 14 -8859
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO FREEZE
THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN DEPARTMENT HEADS
EMPLOYED WITH THE CITY FOR THOSE
DEPARTMENTS LISTED ON EXHIBIT "A ", FOR A
PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS, EXCEPT WITH PRIOR
APPROVAL OF THE CITY COMMISSION;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to freeze the
salary of certain department heads for a period of six (6) months; and
WHEREAS, the departments of the City are listed on Exhibit "A" attached; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka authorizes and
directs freezing the salary of certain department heads employed with the City of Opa-
locka, as set forth in Exhibit "A" hereto, for a period of six (6) months, beginning upon
approval or adoption of said Resolution, except with prior approval of the City
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2.The City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, authorizes and directs
the City Manager to freeze the salaries of certain department heads, for those departments
indicated on Exhibit "A" attached, for a period of six (6) months, beginning upon

approval or adoption of said Resolution, except with prior approval of the City
Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22 n day of October, 2014.
