ORDINANCE NO. :<. J?
AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY CITY
TREASURER FOR THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS AND
PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Deputy City Treasurer Created
There is hereby created for the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, the office of Deputy City Treasurer
which shall report directly to the City Administrator. The Deputy City Treasurer is an officer of the
City of Bel Aire, Kansas as defined in K.S.A. 15-204 and thus subject to annual reappointment.
However, if the duties of said office are ofa part time nature, the office may be filled by an employee
of the city and annual reappointment shall not effect the status or duties of said employee in his/her
other capacity.
Section 2. Deputy City Treasurer Duties
The Deputy City Treasurer shall have such duties as prescribed by the City Policy Manual and
such other duties as may be directed and assigned by the City Administrator. The Deputy City
Treasurer shall further assume the authority and duties of the City Treasurer when the City Treasurer
is absent from the City of Bel Aire or otherwise unavailable to perform his or her official duties.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official
city newspaper.
