HomeMy Public PortalAbout1996-049fs Member Ferris introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 96-49 RESOLUTION EXTENDING AN INTERIM ORDINANCE REGULATING DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY WITHIN THE CITY OF MEDINA AND DIRECTING A STUDY TO BE CONDUCTED THEREON WHEREAS, on October 3, 1995 the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota (the "City") adopted an interim ordinance regulating development activity within the City of Medina and directing a study to be conducted thereon (the "Moratorium"); and WHEREAS, on January 2, 1996, the city council modified the Moratorium to allow excavation within any wetland that is not a public waters wetland within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, section 103G.005, subd. 18 so long as such excavation does not exceed 5.5 acres in size; and WHEREAS, the City has not yet completed the review of its ordinances and the amendment of same to control the activity intended to be regulated by the Moratorium. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the Moratorium, as modified, is hereby extended for an additional six months from its original effective date.
