HomeMy Public PortalAbout112-1998 - Rezoning - New Paris PikeORDINANCE NO. 112-1998 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT NEW PARIS PIKIE, RICHMOND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the zoning map designates and describes as A-1 Agricultural District the property located on New Paris Pike, Specifically a part of the Northeast and Northwest Quarters of Section 25, and part of the Southeast and Southwest Quarters of Section 24, all being in Township 14 North, Range 1 West; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to change the zoning designation to A-1 Special Use to expand the City owned and operated Sanitary Landfill; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation of the property described below is hereby changed to A-1 Special Use District for a Sanitary Landfill expansion and for removal of minerals. Being a part of the Northwest and Northwest Quarters of Section 25, and part of the Southwest and Southeast Quarters of Section 24, all being in Township 14 North, Range 1 West, in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, said point being 245.24 feet north 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds west of the southeast corner of said Northwest Quarter, and running thence north 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds west, along the south line of said Northwest Quarter, 1123.62 feet to a point, said point being 1292.53 feet south 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds east of a marked stone found at the southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter, witness a railroad spike found 3.66 feet north 00 degrees, 17 minutes and 55 seconds east of the true corner, thence north 00 degrees, 17 minutes and 55 seconds east 558.65 feet to a point, witness a steel pipe pots set in concrete 1.22 feet south 37 degrees, 43 minutes and 20 seconds west of the true corner; thence north 00 degrees, 19 minutes and 20 seconds east, 1262.85 feet to a marked stone; thence north 00 degrees, 37 minutes and 45 seconds west, entering the Southwest Quarter of said Section 24, 1631.39 feet to a point, witness a wood post found 7.33 feet north 00 degrees, 29 minutes and 30 seconds west of the true corner, thence north 00 degrees, 09 minutes and 30 seconds west, 1963.70 feet to a railroad spike found on the north line of said Southwest Quarter, said railroad spike being 330.00 feet north 89 degrees, 58 minutes and 50 seconds east of a railroad spike found at the northwest corner of said Southwest Quarter, and running thence north 89 degrees, 58 minutes and 50 seconds east, along the north line of said Southwest Quarter, 100.00 feet to railroad spike found; thence south 00 degrees, 12 minutes and 00 seconds east, 748.90 feet to an iron rod found, thence north 89 degrees, 58 minutes and 50 seconds east, parallel to the north line of said Southwest Quarter, 2247.60 feet to an iron rod set on the east line of said Southwest Quarter, said iron rod being 748.90 feet south 00 degrees, 03 minutes and 00 seconds east of a GPS monument found at the northeast corner of said Southwest Quarter; thence south 00 degrees, 03 minutes and 00 seconds east along the east line of said Southwest Quarter, 1762.53 feet to an iron rod found, said iron rod being 257.20 feet north 00 degrees, 03 minutes and 00 seconds west of the southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter; thence south 89 degrees, 39 minutes and 35 seconds east, entering the Southwest Quarter of said Section 24, 919.78 feet to a railroad pike found in the centerline of said Porterfield Road; thence along the centerline of said Porterfield Road the following courses and distances: south 01 degree, 35 minutes and 05 seconds west, 82.08 feet to a railroad spike found; thence south 00 degrees, 94 minutes and 50 seconds east, entering the Northeast Quarter of said Section 25, 237.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 13 degrees, 01 minute and 35 seconds east, 459.70 feet to a railroad spike found; thence south 02 degrees, 55 minutes and 20 seconds east, 697.65 feet to a point, witness a railroad spike found 2.97 feet north 89 degrees, 44 minutes and 55 seconds west of the true corner; thence leaving said centerline, north 89 degrees, 44 minutes and 55 seconds west, 230.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 00 degrees, 20 minutes and 55 seconds east, 898.15 feet to a point, witness a railroad spike found 2.97 feet north 89 degrees, 44 minutes and 55 seconds west of the true corner; thence leaving said centerline, north 89 degrees, 44 minutes and 55 seconds west, 230.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 00 degrees, 20 minutes and 55 seconds east, 898.15 feet to an iron rod set; thence north 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds west, entering said Northwest Quarter, and being parallel to the south line of said Northwest Quarter,1928.65 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 00 degrees, 07 minutes and 45 seconds west,350.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence north 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds west, parallel to the south line of said Northwest Quarter, 1000.00 feet to an iron rod set; thence south 00 degrees, 07 minutes and 45 seconds west, 150.00 feet to a point on the north right-of-way line of New Paris Pike (Known as Indiana State Road 121, witness an iron pipe found 3.64 feet north 14 degrees, 55 minutes and 45 seconds west of the true corner; thence south 89 degrees, 52 minutes and 15 seconds east, parallel to the south line of said Northwest Quarter, and along the north right-of-way line said New Paris Pike, 997.32 feet to an iron rod found; thence south 03 degrees, 27 minutes and 15 seconds east, 45.09 feet to the place of beginning, containing a total area of 209.858 nacres, there being 68.230 acres in the Northwest Quarter of said Section 25, 91.965 acres in the Southwest Quarter of said Section 24, 5.425 acres in the Southeast Quarter of said Section 24, and 44.238 acres in the Northeast Quarter of said Section 25.
