CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-59
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING
SNOWMOBILE TRAIL FOR 1996-97
WHEREAS, Section 515.09 of the city's code of ordinances prohibits snowmobiles in city
parks except upon designated trails; and
WHEREAS, Section 350.11 of the code of ordinances prohibits snowmobiles on public lands
except as previously listed or authorized by the city council; and
WHEREAS, the city council wishes to designate a trail over a portion of a city park for use by
snowmobiles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that the trail through Hamel Legion Park illustrated on Exhibit A attached hereto be
designated for use by snowmobiles and that the chief of police be authorized and directed to post the
trail appropriately.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Johnson and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Ferris, Mayor Theis,
and Thies
and the following voted against same: None Absent: Zietlow
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
