RESOLUTION NO. 14 -8889
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, STRONGLY URGING
JACKSON HEALTH SYSTEMS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH
TRUST OF MIAMI -DADE COUNTY AND MIAMI -DADE
COUNTY TO IMMEDIATELY PLACE A HEALTH,
WELLNESS AND URGENT CARE FACILITY IN THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City residents of Opa -locka have little access to health treatment
care; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Health Systems have expanded their medical facilities
throughout Miami -Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Opa -locka need and deserve Jackson Health Systems,
the Public Health Trust of Miami -Dade County to provide an Urgent Care Facility in the
City of Opa- locka.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa -locka strongly urges that
Jackson Health Systems, the Public Health Trust of Miami -Dade County and Miami-
Dade County to immediately place a Health, Wellness and Urgent Care Facility in the
City to help the citizens access to proper medical care.
Resolution No. 14 -8889
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to send certified copies of this
Resolution to Jackson Health Systems, the Public Health Trust of Miami -Dade County
and Miami -Dade County.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
