HomeMy Public PortalAbout1996-068Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 96- 68 RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES FOR 1996 PAYABLE IN 1997 WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of Medina for the 1997 calendar year, containing the following appropriations out of the General Fund: General Government $415,478 Public Safety $780,244 Public Works $450,515 Parks $ 50,398 Miscellaneous $ 84,091 WHEREAS, the anticipated revenues for the 1997 calendar year, including Homestead and Agricultural Aid, is $762,876; and WHEREAS, a Truth in Taxation hearing was held on December 4, 1996; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, County of Hennepin, Minnesota, that a property tax levy of $964,850 be levied upon the taxable property in the City of Medina for taxes payable in 1997 and herein authorize Paul Robinson, City Clerk -Treasurer for the City of Medina to certify this resolution to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
