C.
RESOLUTION NO. 93 -504: WARRANTS & DEMANDS
Adopted Resolution No. CRA 93 -504 approving claims and demands in the amount of
$152,726.68.
B. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A'1'rENDANCE AT THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL
OF SHOPPING CENTERS SPRING CONFERENCE AND LEASING TRADE SHOW,
MAY 18 -20, 1993, LAS VEGAS - -
Mr. Breazeal stated he supports staff training, however, $650 is a lot of money for a
shopping center conference when there are no major shopping centers in Temple City nor
are any proposed. He indicated he cannot support this as it has no merit.
Executive Director Ovrom stated this conference is the largest in the nation and all of the
major retailers will be in attendance. Portions of Temple City Square still have to be
leased and this will provide an opportunity to be in touch with prospective tenants. It is
also an opportunity to attract an anchor project for the downtown.
Mr. Budds felt much of the interaction takes place before and after the conference and
that type of dialogue can be conducted by staff at any time.
Mrs. Wilson concurred.
Mr. Breazeal moved to deny attendance of the Economic Development Director at the
ICSC Spring Conference and Trade Show, seconded by Vice Chairman Budds and
unanimously carried.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: NONE

6. NEW BUSINESS: NONE
7. COMMUNICATIONS: NONE
8. MATTERS FROM AGENCY MEMBERS:
Mr. Budds noted the property south of Sears on Rosemead Boulevard is for sale and asked if the
Agency could get involved in the development of that property.
Economic Development Director Sims indicated the property has been on the market for two years
and development has been difficult as the Agency requires that projects be more than one acre
in size. As this property is less than one acre, staff has encouraged the property owner to work
with the adjacent property owner to create a development that would be more than one acre,
however, this has been unsuccessful. It is a very difficult piece of property to develop as access
is poor and it is landlocked. No one is interested in developing it at this point.
9. ADJOURNMENT:
At 8:20 p.m., it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried to adjourn. The next regular
meeting of the Temple City Community Redevelopment Agency will be held on Tuesday, April 20,
1993..
